Info – fisherman’s village; the biggest settlement on the island of Kornat (approximately 50 houses); it is not a permanently inhabited place (owners live on the island Murter).
Inevitable to taste: olive oil (there are 3 restaurants in the bay).
Good to know: one of the biggest and most famous underwater springs in the Adriatic sea; Vrulja is a natural hydrographical phenomenon where a river flows into the sea below sea level (showing a small whirlpool on the sea level); in the bay there is a widespread biocenosis of norway crabs, shrimp and sea sponges at the depth of 76 m.

(Island Kornat) Vruja (bay is divided in two branches; smaller W and E with a small seasonal settlement): (central and W part of the bay) exposed to jugo; sheltered: from jugo (in the E branch of the bay; completely sheltered) and from the NW wind (W branch of the bay). Berth: few small moles (in the bottom of the E branch of the bay). Mooring: in central part of the bay (depth 8-18 m). Shallows: along the first moles at their heads (in the bottom of the E branch of the bay; 1.5 m deep); around other moles toward the bottom of the bay (below 1 m); in W branch of the bay (around 2 m).
