Brijuni are an archipelago of fourteen small islands located along the west coast of Istria, very near the town of Pula. The two biggest islands are Veliki and Mali Brijun. They are a protected natural Value of Croatia and a national park. They became famous when the leaders of the Non-Aligned Movement met with the Yugoslav president Tito and formed the Brijuni (Brioni) Declaration.
The Brijuni Safari Park is the main attraction. Within the park there is a part where you can check out the typical Istrian animals, such as the Istrian donkeys, goats and sheep.
