Island Kakan

Airport and transport – Šibenik (around 25 km); airports in Zadar (from Šibenik around 68 km) and Split (from Šibenik around 60 km).

History – Uninhabited Island covered with bushes and grass. The inhabitants of the neighboring island Kaprije grow vines and olives on it.

Info – Highest peak Kakan (112 m); the total coastline of the island is 14.28 km.

For sailors:

Potkućina: sheltered from all winds (from the S side of the islets Borovnjak Veli and Borovnjak Mali). Anchorage: whole bay is an organized anchorage (buoys are placed all over the bay). Shallow: the passage between the Borovnjak Veli and the island Kakan (2.5 m); and the passage between Borovnjak Veli and Borovnjak Mali (5 m deep).
